Searchfirefox crash / gimp no font - Pango-WARNING **: failed to create cairo scaled font, expect ugly output. the offending font is 'DejaVu Sans 9'
after upgrade from feisty to gutsy firefox and gimp wont work:the solution is
dpkg-reconfigure libcairo2 libpango1.0-common
fc-cache -fs
update-pangox-aliases

The hard work with xinerama / dual screen was:
* set the monitor sync/refresh rate (it won't start without for an old crt not supporting ddc)
* set Option "NoAccel" "true" (screen distortions)
* touchpad only works with dual screen
* instabilities with two different cards (via / ati - resolved by using only ati card that has two VGA connectors)

As a workaraound i changed ChipID in xorg.conf to "0x515a"
